Ashok Leyland Reported CV Industry in India to Grow By 20%

Ashok Leyland, leading CV manufacturer in India said that the commercial vehicle industry is expected to be grown by 20 percent. The CV industry has declined in the last two years but, now it has picked up and puts positive signs in the first and second quarters of this financial year.

Ashok Leyland Posted 17% of Sales Growth in October, 2015

Ashok Leyland, the Indian commercial vehicle automaker has reported the 17 percentage growth in October, 2015 by the sales 9,804 units against the 8,402 units in corresponding month in 2014. Being a leader in CV segment, the company sold 7,177 units of Medium and Heavy commercial vehicles in October, 2015, representing the 22 percent growth against sales in October, 2014. With the 581 units, Mahindra has seen the impressive percentage growth (169%) in M& HCV segment.

Truck Market Grows to 20% in this Fiscal Second-Half: Report

In the commercial vehicles segment, medium and heavy vehicles play a crucial role in the economic activity and in the domestic auto market than LCV. This segment has continuous demand in the first half of the fiscal year so that the industry expected that it will increase to 20% growth in the second-half of fiscal year.  In the interval of April to July, the M&HCV segment has improved with a growth of 24.5 percent by the sales of 69,000 units.
