The German carmaker’s Polo GTI has been tested for several times, 2 times in Pune, across the Indian market. The 5-door variants of Polo GTI are continuously spotted instead of three-door trim. The new reports from the Industry sources have indicated that the three-door trims of the Polo GTI are to be introduced in the country during the festival period, might be in September 2016. The company gives no assurance but, the 5-door trims of the Polo GTI will be offered after the introduction of 3-door Polo models.
Officially, the prototype model of Volkswagen Polo GTI has readied to unveil at the next coming 13th international show of 2016 Auto Expo in India in Greater Noida. Surprisingly, a new move from Volkswagen is the hatchback’s GTI version is to be available in the market with the three-door layout. Till now, the market has not any demand for the three-door cars in the automotive industry but, the carmaker has endeavored to create a new trend with the three-door Polo hatchback.
Polo is the popular hatchback in the domestic market so that the company has not compromised and offers it with the technology-based and comfortable features. Volkswagen wants to continue the same highest performance with the GTI trim also, which is to be powered by the 1.8-litre TSI turbocharged engine is developing the power of 190bhp with the 7-speed automatic DSG gearbox. The car takes around 6.7 seconds of time to claim the acceleration speed of 100km per hour and hits the high speed at 236/kmph in the less time. To easily adjust the dampers, the high-specific version is to be featured by the optional Sport Select System.
It will be the higher variant of the Polo hatchback so that it may come with the high features and specifications like LED headlights, daytime running lights, paddle shifters, sporty steering wheel, as well. The diesel and petrol versions of the Polo GT have preferred by the 15 to 20 percent of the total customers who want for the Polo hatchback. The buyer’s eagerness and acceptability about the Polo hatchback are to be greater than before with the introduction of the GTI version.

The three-door Polo GTI is to be showcased on 4th February 2016 at the Delhi Motor Show as well as introduced in the Indian market in September 2016.
