Volkswagen decided to refit the diesel cars affected by Emissions Software

Volkswagen’s emission scandal is one of the big scandals in the history of automobile or automotive industry and an issue was spread around the world in the short period.  Finally, the Volkswagen Group has decided to refit the diesel cars, which were affected by the fake regulator software.  In the part, the Volkswagen group will first inform the buyers who purchased the diesel cars, affected with emission software and repair the cars with the correct software.  The VW group said that the customers will get updated information on the developments by set-up the national websites regarding the issue of the brands, which equipped with the emissions software.

The company has announced that the type EA 189 diesel engines integrated in a total 11 million of vehicles, in which around five million vehicles are from the brands of Volkswagen (Passenger Cars). The Volkswagen brand vehicles are the seventh-generation VW Passat, the 6th generation VW Golf, and the 1st generation VW Tiguan.  Volkswagen new CEO, Matthias Muller said, Volkswagen and the brands under the VW group will introduce the technical solutions for the vehicles with responsible authorities.

Apart from this, Audi has announced that 2.1millions of Audi vehicles affected by the emission scandal in the world, in which 1.42 millions of vehicles sold in Western Europe, 5 lakhs are in Germany and 13,000 are in the US.  The Audi models affected by the scandal are Audi A1, A3, A4, A5, A6, Q3, Q5 and TT. Skoda has said that 1.2million of Skoda cars are affected by the Volkswagen scandal and there is no report like how many cars represent emission software sold in Europe and Germany.

The governments of Germany, Canada, UK, South Korea, India and Italy have announced to check the mega issue of Volkswagen. The Government of India has asked the ARAI to submit an in-depth report of the issue, whether the Indian-made Volkswagen group products affected with an emissions scandal or not.
