Suzuki S-Cross/Maruti S-Cross Facelift to get 1.4L BoosterJet Petrol Engine

Showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo, the Maruti /Suzuki S-Cross facelift is likely to be updated with the new 1.4L BoosterJet petrol engine. The company has confirmed that the facelift of S-Cross is under development process but, the details like where it will be launched, what features will be available and when will be launched in the markets, were not disclosed at the motor show. Now, the sources reported that the S-Cross facelift will be equipped with the 1.4L turbocharged petrol engine, which develops 140hp pf power and 220Nm torque on the Suzuki Vitara S.

The upcoming S-Cross facelift will get the 6-speed manual gearbox, which helps to send the power to the wheels with the standard drive system. But, Suzuki’s AllGrip AWD driving system comes as an optional feature. In India, the Maruti S-Cross is offered with the both 1.3-litre and 1.6-litre diesel engines and its facelift is likely to come with the single 1.3-litre diesel engine.

Continuing the discussion about the S-Cross facelift, the company will be added the advanced features, revised equipment with the standard specifications. At the exterior, the prototype model of S-Cross facelift, which will be snapped by the industry sources, contains the all-new front grille with vertical slats, revised bumper, new projector headlamps and the larger radiator grille. The interior changes will be made by Maruti Suzuki like new seat upholstery, revised instrument cluster, the latest dashboard, as well.

Suzuki’s unit in Australia has been released a statement like the S-Cross facelift will be launched in the fourth quarter of this year. Again, the S-Cross facelift will exhibit at the upcoming 2016 Geneva Show, which will be commenced in the next month. Based on the reports, the S-Cross facelift will be reached the European markets by the end of 2016 whereas the Indian launch of it is likely to happen sometime in the next year.

The Suzuki S-Cross facelift has been showcased as the Limited edition of the S-Cross at the 2016 Auto Expo along with the next upcoming models in India are Maruti Ignis and new Vitara Brezza.
