Porsche 911 R 500bhp unveils at Geneva Motor Show

Porsche has been exhibited its new-generation model 911 R at the ongoing Geneva motor show and it is the lighter version of the Porsche GT3 RS. The 911 R is the advanced and feature-rich model but, its parent model, Porsche 911 having the 53 years history in the market. A few of versions offered in the international market from more than five decades and it is the new generation car with the traditional roots.

The Porsche 911 R is to be power-driven by the 4.0-litre naturally aspirated flat-six boxer engine, which is received from GT3 RS, develops the outputs of 493bhp power at 8,250 rpm and 460Nm (339lb ft) at 6,250rpm. The car will be equipped with the six-speed manual gearbox instead of the seven-speed manual gearbox, which has seen in the some 991 models. The model will be developed based on the rear-wheel drivetrain. With the pack of all engine support systems, the new Porsche 991R is to be accelerated from 0 to 60mph (0-100kmph) in nearly 3.7 seconds so that the car will hit the top speed at 201mph.

The new car cuts its weight by 50kgs than the 911 GT3 Rs and now it comes with a total weight of 1,370kgs. When comes to the design, the rear windscreen and rear side windows are made of lightweight plastic, the roof is made of magnesium and front-wheel arches are carbon fibre.  

The rear-wheel steering, aluminium wheels and ceramic composite brakes are the features benefited by the 911R. The external body of the car features gets the bespoke rear diffuser and the retractable rear spoiler from the Porsche Carrera. The interior of the new-gen 911 R is decorated by the new design trims, new multi-spoke steering wheel, as well.

The model 911 R has been spotted in the public places for the overall testing and now, it was officially unveiled by the company at the show. The multiple images of the Porsche 911 R are available on the web and the model will enter the market soon.
