Next-gen Swift Dzire to be manufactured at Suzuki’s Gujarat plant

The next-generation Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire is expected to be manufactured at the Suzuki Motor Corporation’s production plant in Gujarat, according to the source from Autocar Professional. The updated model of the best-selling Swift Dzire sedan will be the second car from the new plant, which will be started the production of models in the coming January month.

R S Kalsi revealed that the Baleno premium hatchback is the first model to be rolled out from the Mehsana plant, in Gujarat. Due to the more demand, the new Baleno hatchback has received long waiting period in the domestic market so that the company has decided to start the production at the Suzuki’s Gujarat plant.

 The Swift Dzire will be designed based on the Baleno’s lightweight platform that is to be featured by the next-generation Swift hatchback. Some of the images indicated that the interior and exterior designs will similar to the Swift Dzire, top best-selling sedan in the car market.

Coming with the mechanical features, the 2018 Swift Dzire will be available with the regular 1.2-litre K-series petrol engine, which has the four-cylinder capacity. The diesel versions will be featured the new fuel-efficient diesel motors developed by the carmaker.

This is just information regarding the 2018 Swift Dzire from the automotive sources, but the clear reports will be updated soon. The updated version of the sedan (Dzire) is most probably launched in 2018 with the new platform as well as design and mechanical equipment.
