M&M Exports KUV 100 to Sri Lanka, Nepal, South Africa and Bangladesh

The domestic auto manufacturer, Mahindra will start the export of its newly launched KUV 100 to the nearest countries like Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal and South Africa. The compact SUV product might be introduced with the right-hand drive architecture in the aforementioned markets in the shorter period. As a biggest SUV maker, M&M plans to add the new models in its portfolio with the attractive design, high-performance based engineering, technology-based features and the essential specifications.

For the KUV 100 project, the company has invested an amount of Rs. 1,200 crore on behalf of the capital expenditure, research, outline of the model, design, mechanicals, development, testing, as well. The compact SUV is the second SUV car comes with the monocoque chassis and developed with the 85 percent of localization. Mahindra has imported a few of components for the KUV 100 so that the price tag of the product was simply decided. Now, the KUV 100 offered in the ex-showroom price range of Rs. 4.45 lakhs to Rs. 6.84 lakhs in New Delhi.

With its distinctive design language and new mFalcon family engines, Mahindra KUV 100 will hit the global markets as well as set a benchmark among its kind of models by the highest sales of units. The KUV 100 is not only offering to the customers through the Mahindra dealers but also, the company approached the E-commerce websites like Flipkart for sales.

Speaking about the performance, the diesel trims of Mahindra KUV 100 powered by the BS-IV standard mFalcon D75, which returns 25.32/kmpl by developing 77bhp and 57.4kW. The petrol variants of the KUV 100 come with the mFalcon G80 petrol that gives the mileage of 18.15kmpl.  The KUV 100, TUV 300 and XUV 500 are the current selling products different from the Mahindra’s Portfolio and the upcoming XUV Aero concept-based model enters the new SUV category.

Additional Features of KUV 100:

The higher variants including K6, K6+ and K8 are featured by the additional features than the entry-level trims.

The exports of Mahindra were down in the last month (December 2015) against the same month of 2014. With this bold and iconic KUV 100, the company’s share of exports will be increased in the next two to three month. The kool utility vehicle with the fully-equipped features and high performance is likely to hit markets of other countries with the arrogant sales. By comparing the new young SUV with its kind of models, the demand and acceptability for the product is emerging in the country.

Is KUV 100 benefits to Mahindra in Delhi and NCR Regions?

With the SC’s order, the government has temporarily banned the registrations of heavy diesel vehicles (more than 2-litre capacity engines) in Delhi and NCR regions up to the end of March 2016. Consequently, Mahindra affects majorly in that regions and the popular SUV like Scorpio and XUV 500 are under the stock. In these situations, Mahindra KUV 100 is the beneficial product to the company in the country, especially in both regions.
