The upcoming SUV car from Maruti Suzuki is the new Vitara Brezza, which is all set to market launch on 21st March 2016 in India, according to Economic Times. It will be the significant compact SUV from Maruti Suzuki as it is the new entry in its kind of segment. In the country, the compact SUV category is highly competitive and having a variety of products. With the attractive and sub-4metre body design, the new Vitara Brezza, which has been debuted in Noida at the 2016 Auto Expo, is to compete with the popular and high demandable cars including Mahindra TUV 300 and Ford EcoSport.
The product has been developed by the local R&D team of around 40 engineers under the guidance of CV Raman, chief engineer at Maruti Suzuki. The brochures of Vitara Brezza contain the list of variants and features has been leaked in the web before the model disclosed at the recently closed Auto Expo in India. Maruti’s compact SUV has to face the toughest competition from the Hyundai Creta, which became as best-selling SUV in India with the sales of highest volumes. The Vitara Brezza is to be offered at the below price tag than the Creta to get the best movement in the domestic industry.
The diesel versions of Vitara Brezza are only available in India but, the petrol versions are confirmed for the global markets. Two types of diesel engines will be integrated in the compact SUV along with the standard gearbox of 5-speed MT. One is the revised Fiat-sourced 1.3-litre engine that produces the maximum outputs of 90PS and 200Nm and the second one is 200 DDiS diesel engine. Both diesel and petrol variants will be manufactured in India but, the Vitara Brezza petrol for exports only. Later, the petrol and AMT cars will be considered for the India market.
The new Vitara Brezza will come in four variants such as LDi, VDi, ZDi and ZDi+ and also in different exterior shades. When comes to the features, the top variant will get the features like Smartplay infotainment system with carplay, reverse parking camera, EORVM, rain sensing auto wipers, keyless push button start, auto headlight and keyless push button start with the basic features like driver airbag, gear shift indicator, as well.
Maruti Suzuki will be committed the affordable price tag of Rs. 6.5lakh to Rs. 8.5lakh (Ex-showroom) for the upcoming Vitara Brezza. The Ignis, which has been disclosed at the Delhi Auto Expo, will be the next coming car from the company.
