The Indian carmaker has reported 60.2% jump in its Q2 net profit and stood at Rs 23,980 million. With the sales increment and lower expenses on the marketing and sales promotions, the second quarter was ended on 30th September 2016 reported the highest growth in Q2 net profit.
Maruti Suzuki sold a total of 4,18,470 vehicles in the second quarter and reported the growth of 18.4 percent compared to the corresponding period of the previous year. The leading carmaker has reported 18.5 percent growth in the domestic market with the sales of 3,83,030 units in Q2. Sales in exports stood at 35,440 units, a growth of 17.9 percent. The leading carmaker has registered the 29.5 percent growth in Net Sales to Rs 1,75,946 million during the quarter.
In the first half of FY2017, Maruti Suzuki has reported 10.4 percent growth with the total sales of 7,66,913 vehicles. Domestic sales were at 7,05,370 units and reported the increment of 12.1 percent in sales. Sales in the Exports were reported at 61,543 units.
In the first half of the current fiscal (April 2016 – September 2016), the net sales increased to 20.9% at Rs. 3,22,806 million. H2 net profit has an increment of 43.6 percent at Rs 38,842 million.
The company has informed that the higher non-operating income, higher volumes, as well influence the sales to report the highest growth in the second quarter. The second half of the FY 2017 will have the similar response in the Indian market with the introduction of new models. As per the reports, the Baleno RS and Ignis will launch in India by the end of this financial year.
