Maruti Suzuki has confirmed the launch date of Maruti Ertiga facelift 2015 to October 10th in India and it will be released as a multi-purpose vehicle. The facelift has already introduced at the GIIAS 2015 in the last month and come up with additional features and interior as well as exterior changes. The report is the facelift version of Ertiga will also get SHVS on its diesel variants to get better-economy like Maruti Ciaz Hybrid. The company has made 29 changes in the body design for the Indonesian market.
The exterior changes would be made on the new Ertiga facelift are the latest triple-slat chrome grille, a latest radiator grille, chrome fog lights , new bumpers at front and rear side, new reflectors at rear, the rear registration plate has “Ertiga” logo on a new chrome and redesigned alloy wheels with “S” symbol.
The changes offered in the Ertiga facelift inside are a new steering wheel with compatible controls like audio and phone, new design patterns with decent colors, new floor mats and upholstery, the last row seat has 50:50 split option and folding mirrors that are electrically adjustable. In addition, the top variants of the Ertiga facelift will be offered with Maruti Suzuki’s SmartPlay entertainment system with user-friendly touch-screen.
The Ertiga facelift is likely to continue with the machineries for India and the current engine options are the 1.4-litre, four-cylinder , k-series petrol engine and the turbo charged, four-cylinder, 1.3-litre, MultiJet diesel engine (fiat-sourced). Moreover, the diesel engine will be updated with SHVS to get the world class fuel-mileage. The team of Maruti has intends to introduce a 1.6-litre diesel engine (MultiJet) on the new updated model. The current 1.4-litre petrol and a 1.3-litre diesel motors produce 16.02kmpl and 20.77kmpl fuel-economy respectively.
The rumour is the updated diesel engine generates around 25.2kmpl fuel-economy. Might be the rumor will be true as the Maruti Ciaz hybrid car runs 28.09 kilometers for a litre on its diesel variants. With 90% success in delivering high-economy through the Ciaz hybrid, Maruti Suzuki is working on the hybrid technology (SHVS) integrated diesel engines to get the 30kmpl mileage. The facelift of Ertiga could also get AMT to reach the customers who prefer automatic cars. But it was not sure as there is no information from the company about the Ertiga AMT.
As per the auto market report, Maruti’s many dealerships already started bookings of the upcoming Ertiga facelift 2015 and the company has seems to be getting considerable response with the 2015 Ertiga facelift from consumers. The existed model has already best choice in the MPV segment and the 2015 facelift (refreshed version of Ertiga) will enhance the model recognition in the auto market.
