Maruti Suzuki has already confirmed that the Indian-made premium hatchback Baleno is exported to around 100 global markets. In this part, the shipment of Baleno committed to Japan, Germany and European markets in the last month. Now, the fresh reports indicated that the Indian car maker exports Baleno to around 40 countries, which include Japan, Germany, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, United States, Chile, United Arab Emirates, Australia, Belgium, New Zealand, South Africa, Italy and as well. All the shipment made from the ports like Mundra, Delhi Air Cargo and Bombay Sea.
For the international market, the Maruti Suzuki Baleno is to be offered in both right-hand (RHD) and left-hand drive (LHD) versions. The US-specific models will be received the left-hand drive models, whereas the New Zealand and Australian markets to get the right-hand drive models. Moreover, Suzuki again enters the American market with the Maruti Suzuki Baleno as the company was deducted from that market in 2012.
The global-specific Baleno hatchback will be powered by the four-cylinder, 1373cc petrol engine with the manual and CVT (automatic) options. In addition, the international specific model will be developed under the global safety norms. The basic variant of Baleno receives three-star rating while the higher variant with the safety features gets the four-star rating from the Euro NCAP. It is the first model from Maruti Suzuki shipped to the company’s home market with its world-class design and specifications.
According to the survey, the company shipped 164 units in February, 252 units in March and 234 units in April 2016. The Belgium and Germany markets import 146 units and 76 units of Baleno petrol models respectively.
The Indian specific Baleno petrol comes with the 1.2-litre 83bhp engine while the diesel variants offered with the 1.3-litre 75bhp engine. The Baleno hatchback is to be fitted with the five-speed manual gearbox in both fuel-variants but, the petrol variant additionally offers with the CVT (automatic gearbox).
In the domestic market, Maruti Suzuki has been selling the premium hatchback via the Nexa outlets and the latest news is the Nexa workshops will be started soon for servicing the Nexa products, Baleno and S-Cross.
