As per Automotive media trends, Mahindra is working on the long wheelbase version of the existing TUV 300, which expects to call as the Mahindra TUV 500. Here is no official information from the company but, we expect that the UV market leader is yet to announce. Automotive media outlets and Automotive Bloggers confirmed that upcoming SUV (Mahindra TUV 500) to launch by end of this year or first half of the next year.
TUV300 XL will slot between the Mahindra TUV 300 and the best-selling Mahindra cars, Scorpio with more than 4 meters length. The new one would be the Mahindra XYLO replacement and introduced to target the private car buyers.
Expected specifications of Mahindra TUV 500:
The upcoming Mahindra TUV 500 will get the 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine with the estimated mileage of 15 to 16kmpl. The diesel engine has the capacity to send the power of 120bhp and torque of 280Nm to the wheels. The existing TUV 300 is available with the 1493cc engine with the standard 5-speed manual transmission.
Design of the TUV 300 XL is almost similar to the current one and the rear expected to be accommodated with the third row of seats. Some equipment to be modified for a fresh look and attracting the customers. Inside of the extended TUV 300 features the dashboard design, hex agonal centre console with Bluetooth, AUX and USB device support. The touchscreen system will be the added advantage in the top-end variants.
