Mahindra electric has launched the four-door version of the currently available e2o electric car, which is named as Mahindra e2o Plus, in the Indian market at Rs. 5.46lakhs. The new Mahindra electric car is available in four variants such as P2 (commercial), P4, P6 and P8, which are offered in the price range of Rs. 5.46lakhs to Rs. 8.46lakhs in ex-showroom of Delhi.
Along with the addition of two doors to accommodate rear passengers, the e2o Plus comes with the new elements that are different from the existing 2-door e2o. The new features including the headlamps with the projector lighting, the new front grille with the vertical slats, longer wheelbase, redesigned bumpers, new window line and vertical tail lamps with the LED indicators.
The interior design of the new Mahindra electric car is identical to the two-door e2o, whereas the high-end variants (P6 and P8) offered by the dual-colored interior (beige and black) with the fabric upholstery. Moreover, the two top end variants also featured the standard equipment of the Blaupunkt infotainment system along with the key features like instant torque, REVive, regenerative braking, Hill Assist and reverse parking camera.
Discuss the battery pack, all variants of e2o Plus (except P8) offered with the 19kW electric motor that is powered by the 48V battery pack so that the car sprints 0 to 60km/h in just 14.1 seconds. The top speed of the e2o Plus is 80km/h, while the highest driving range offered by the drive system is 110km. The batteries used in the P4 and P6 variants to take 6 hours to recharge, whereas the P8 variant takes 9 hrs.
The first three variants (P2, P4 and P6) have capable of generating the maximum power of 19kW@3500rpm and the torque of 70Nm at 1050rpm. The P8 variant of Mahindra e2o Plus is rated at 30kW at 3500rpm and 91Nm at 2500rpm output.
