Audi launched 2016 Q7 Diesel Variant in South Africa

India-specific SUV, Audi Q7 2016 has launched by Audi in South Africa and priced at 9,24,000R or  INR  43,89,440 on the diesel variants.  At the time of launch, the company has stated that the petrol variants of 2016 Audi Q7 will be released in the month of January, 2016. In the press-release documentary, Audi has reported that it is the second-generation and most enhanced and luxury model of Audi Q models. With a new MLB platform, the new SUV has designed and reduced the weight by 325kgs than its earlier model and the platform will indirectly helps to improve the performance of vehicle by reducing the weight.

The new 2016 Q7 is slimmer with body measurements of 5050mm (5.05metres) length, 1970mm (1.97metres) width and 1740mm (1.74meters) height while it has also come up with a strong wheelbase of 2990mm.  At first, the production model of Audi Q7 has unveiled at the GIIAS 2015 with the same structure, engines and features. As previously reported, the model will come with two types of engines (TDI and TFSI) on diesel variants.

But at the time of launch, the new SUV of Audi has come up with the 3.0-litre TDI engine of Audi Q7, which has generates 245.40hp (183kW) of power and 600Nm torque in the speed range of 1500 to 3000rpm. The strong and successful engine is integrated with the 8-speed tiptronic AMT and the power will be supplied to the all wheels with the Quattro system.  With influence of a group of all these facilities, the diesel engine of Audi Q7 2016 claims maximum speed 0-100kmph in 6.3 seconds and the top-speed of car reached to 234kmph with sporty drive. The Audi Q7 has claimed 17.54 kilometers per litre fuel-economy with 149 g/km carbon emissions.

In fact, both fuel-types of engines would be offered in this model and the four-cylinder, 2.0-litre petrol engine has already confirmed by Audi for the Q7 SUV. However, the launch of petrol variant of Q7 will be postponed to January and the engine has capacity to deliver 248.08hp (185kW) power and 370Nm of torque.

The new Audi Q7 has received different kind of changes such as large air intakes at front side, Singleframe grille and the standard Xenon headlights with either LED or Matrix LED options as indicators.  The side profile of the sporty SUV gets rectangular-shaped exhausts, muscular wheel arches, and standard and dynamic LED taillights with strong fitment and electrically operable tailgates.

Audi has offers the luxurious and spacious interior with the feature of Audi Cockpit, which has integrated with MMI touch infotainment system. The 8.3inches and rectangle-shaped  MMI Touch screen supports Audi sound system, a Bluetooth interface, Audi music interface with USB ports, a flash memory, two card readers and DVD drive. The higher variants might be come up with the 12.3-inch Virtual Cockpit of Audi with screen of 1440x540pixel.

Different types of Audi Drive Assistance:

Audi Company, luxury car maker has offers multiple standard and optional driver assistance systems in this model and the standard systems are cruise control, attention assist system, Audi pre-sense basic, adjustable speed limiter, parking system, Audi pre-sense city and hill hold assist. The optional driver assistance methods are traffic jam assist, head-up display, night vision assist, Audi active lane assist, adaptive crucial control, rear cross traffic assist, collision avoidance assist and trailer assist.
