7 cars recalled in the Indian market due to faulty parts

The several auto manufacturers have been recalled the passenger cars, including crossovers, sedans, hatchbacks and SUVs owing to the faulty parts. Very recently, there are seven cars like Baleno, Swift Dzire, Ford EcoSport, Figo and Figo Aspire, Honda City, Maruti S-Cross and Honda Jazz recalled to replace the faulty parts with the new ones for offering the best quality. Around 1.8 million passenger vehicles recalled in the Indian market since July 2012 in the Indian market, according to the SIAM reports.

Maruti Suzuki Baleno - airbag controller software:

The car market leader has confirmed the recall of 75,419 units of Baleno premium hatchbacks to replace the existing airbag controller software with the upgrade one. The premium hatchbacks produced in the period of August 2015 to May 2016 will be renovated with free of cost. Of total Baleno units,15995 diesel vehicles will recall for inspection owing to the faulty fuel filter.

Swift Dzire Automatic – faulty fuel filter:

Maruti Suzuki has recalled the automatic versions of the Swift Dzire, manufactured in the duration of August 2015 to March 2016, owing to the faulty fuel filter. The company has voluntarily recalled a total of 1,961 diesel automatic units for the inspection. Maruti Suzuki will fit the new one if the vehicle affected with the fuel filtering problem without taking the service related charges.

Ford EcoSport – fault brake, rear seat, fuel lines:

The American automaker has recalled the highest selling SUV, EcoSport due to the multiple faulty parts, faulty brake system, rear seat arrangement and fuel lines. A total of 48,700 units manufactured in the duration of April 2013 to June 2014 recalled in the country.

Ford Figo and Figo Aspire – RCM (Restraint Control Module):

Due to the RCM issue, Ford India has announced the recall of 42,300 units of Figo hatchbacks and Figo Aspire compact sedans. Total recalling process to be provided for free of cost.

Honda City – driver side airbag:

The Japanese automaker, Honda has recalled a total of 49,572 units, produced in the period of January 2012 – June 2013 due to the driver side airbag issue. The total process handled by the dealerships without fee from the owners.

Maruti Suzuki S-Cross – brake parts:

A total of 20,427 units of S-Cross premium crossovers manufactured in the period of April 2015 to February 2016 to recall under the special service campaign to replace the brake parts.

Honda Jazz – faulty airbag:

The Honda Jazz is the premium hatchback, which has been received recalled process with the same faulty airbag system seen in the City. The company calls the vehicles produced in the duration of February 2012 to February 2013.
