Volkswagen Passat to launch in July 2017

Volkswagen India has confirmed that the all-new Volkswagen Passat and Tiguan models to be launched in this year in the Indian market. The Tiguan to be introduced in the coming month of May 2017, whereas the VW Passat is expected to enter the passenger vehicle market in July 2017. There is no official confirmation about the Passat launch but, it will be assembled at the company’s Chakan plant along with the Tiguan.

Next generation Volkswagen Polo production starts in June 2017

The German car brand, Volkswagen has stated that the next generation VW Polo hatchback will enter production in around next three to four months. The upcoming Polo will be the sixth generation model features the advanced modular MQB A0 platform for a new look. SRK designs released the sketch of the sixth-generation Polo, which will be offered in Blue, White and different color combinations.

Volkswagen to focus on petrol hybrids

As per the fresh report from the automotive bloggers, the German carmaker Volkswagen to focus on the petrol hybrid by discontinuing the small diesel engines. Currently, Volkswagen offers small diesel engines in its cars like the Polo. But, the company plans to discontinue the development of small engines.

Volkswagen India to introduce Vento Highline Plus in India

As per the report from bloggers, the Volkswagen Vento Highline Plus to be available at the Volkswagen dealerships in India. The company has already started the delivery of new Vento Highline Plus variants to the VW showrooms and the price announcement will be revealed in the next month. The newest variant gets the rear parking camera, LED headlamps, DRLs and 16-inch alloy wheels.

Volkswagen Polo and Ameo to get 16-inch alloy wheels

The Volkswagen Group cars, including Volkswagen Polo, Skoda Rapid and Volkswagen Ameo, to get new design alloy wheels, according to the fresh reports. The two test models spied with the 16-inch PORTAGO alloy wheels available in the global-specific Volkswagen Polo whereas, the test model of Skoda Rapid to get twin-spoke alloy wheels.

The German carmaker, Volkswagen to focus on the development of the entry level (economy) segment in the major markets like South America, India and Russia. The statement was directly indicated by the company in its future strategy. The VW carmaker specified that the economy segment is relevant for the multiple markets in Asia and consist of attractively priced entry-level vehicles.

Volkswagen has launched the Beetle special edition in the Indian market, whereas the company has not disclosed the price details. The special edition will get the cosmetic upgrade and come to the Indian market via the VW dealerships soon. As per the latest news, prices of the VW India-specific models to be hiked by around 3 percent based on the model and version. The recently launched Volkswagen Ameo will also be affected by the price increment.
