Maruti Suzuki Alto:
The smallest car, Maruti Suzuki Alto leads the list of top selling cars in the domestic market with a total sale of 2,49,507 units in 2015. It is one of the most successful cars and managed to hold the best position among its kind models with the excellent performance for over a decade. It is ideal for the small families and offered with the petrol variants whereas the diesel versions (Alto diesel) are about to release in India shortly.
Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire:
The second place in the top-ten list is obtained by the Swift Dzire, which is the most demandable compact sedan in the country. The fact that is the Swift Dzire has always good value with the design quality and performance at the Indian market. In 2015, the car maker has sold 2,19,248 units of Swift Dzire, which is currently offered in both petrol (8)and diesel (5)versions. In this year only, the company has been introduced the automatic variants and the safety features, ABS and airbags on maximum variants.
Maruti Suzuki Swift:
There is no surprise and the third product is from Maruti Suzuki. The popular and highest selling compact hatchback, Maruti Swift is the third bestselling car in 2015 and received the sales of 1,92,376 units. The entry level version of Swift hatchback (Swift petrol), comes with the features package of manual transmission, front wheel drive system, is available at Rs. 20.4kmpl (Ex-showroom price).
Maruti Suzuki Wagon R:
Launched back over a decade, the Wagon R is the Maruti’s popular model has gained the fourth position in the list with the total sales of 1, 55,754 units. Now, the two automatic variants of Wagon R are available at all Maruti dealers across India and the price of them is too affordable.
Hyundai Elite i20:
With the sales of 1,19,705 units in 2015, the Hyundai Elite i20 premium hatchback holds the fifth position in the list of 10 bestselling cars. This year the model gets the update and features the new elements like a touch-screen infotainment system to overcome its segment models, Maruti Baleno and Honda Jazz.
Hyundai Grand i10:
After Maruti Suzuki, the top-10 models list is highlighted by Hyundai. The sixth place has been occupied by the Hyundai Grand i10 with the sales of 1,11,306 units. It is the closest competitor of the popular model Swift.
The seventh top selling car in India is Mahindra Bolero, which is the old and popular SUV in the country for nearly a decade. The leading SUV major, Mahindra has sold 80,914 units of Bolero, which is only the SUV among the list. With the ever performance, the diesel vehicle has been recognized as the highest selling SUV in the last month.
By the sales of 76,546 units, the Honda City is only sedan occupied eight position in the top-10 list and the model gets a total of three updates for the domestic market.
Again one more hatchback is added in the list of top-10 best cars in 2015 and the 9th place occupied by the Maruti Suzuki car is Celerio. The company has retailed the sales of 74,842 units of the hatchback.
Maruti Suzuki Omni:
Maruti Suzuki’s oldest model Omni is 10th bestselling car in this year in the domestic market. The Omni looks like a minivan and the company has sold 72,778 units of the car in India. The Omni petrol, follows BS-IV emission standards, is available at Rs. 2.56 lakhs in India.
